Levante Premium
A base in the middle of the old quarter of Artà, all year round. Six stages of its own from the eastern tip to the monastery on the Puig de Randa, with two transfers and pa amb oli.
The tour
Levante Premium
Artà is a little town that climbs the hill, with the fortified church of Sant Salvador on top, a Tuesday market that draws half the Llevant, and more good restaurants than you will manage in a week. Right in the old quarter stands the Casa Santa Fe, a 19th-century town house with six rooms, an inner courtyard and a roof terrace. And because the house is open all year, Levante Premium is our one cycling week for winter, when the almond trees are in blossom and the roads are empty.
Premium with us does not mean marble. It means stages of your own from Artà, two transfers instead of one, the pa amb oli in Montuïri, and a place where you walk to dinner. It is why Ruedi and his friends from Switzerland come back every year. The warmth and friendliness here are real, they say. We are glad to pass that on.
What your week looks like
To loosen the legs, the hills behind Artà by way of Sant Llorenç and back on the Via Verde. Then the eastern tip: Capdepera with its castle, Cala Rajada with its lighthouse, the dunes of Cala Mesquida. On the third day you choose between the Ermita de Betlem with its view as far as Menorca and the wild coves of Cala Torta.
Then it gets special: in the morning we drive you up the Puig de Randa to the Cura monastery, and you roll back to Artà through Montuïri, with pa amb oli, and Petra. On the fifth day you follow the bay of Alcúdia, past Sa Canova and the Albufera to the Ermita de la Victòria, and we collect you from there. To finish, the south: Son Macià, the harbour at Porto Cristo, the promenade at Cala Millor and one last swim.
What sets Premium apart from the Sternfahrt Levante
The region is the same; the stages are not. On Premium you start in Artà rather than out in the country, you ride two stages that exist nowhere else (Randa and the bay of Alcúdia), and you can come all year. If you want the pool with the sea view, you are better off on the Sternfahrt Levante. If you want to wander through lanes in the evening, this is the one.
Ride well, your Radundfinca team

Your route day by day
Six stages, and each morning you decide how far you go today.
Arrival in Artà, possible all year round. We will collect you from the airport if you like, around 75 kilometres, and bring you right to the door of the Casa Santa Fe. In the afternoon we set the bikes up, hand out maps and GPX and go through the week with you.
In the evening you are in the middle of the old quarter. A walk up to the fortified church of Sant Salvador is worth it even today, and after that you can choose between several very good restaurants within walking distance.
- Bikes set up in person
- First evening in the old quarter of Artà

To loosen the legs, today takes you into the hills behind Artà. Along the Camí de Sa Carrossa, an old connecting lane between almond fields and dry-stone walls, you reach Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, a village with a square, a church and exactly the right bar for your first cortado.
On through Son Carrió to Son Servera, where the Sternfahrt Levante stays; you wave and carry on. The way back is the best part: the Via Verde, the old railway line, takes you almost without a gradient to the edge of Artà. By evening you know how your bikes feel, and you have earned your dinner.
- The Camí de Sa Carrossa, an old connecting lane
- Back along the Via Verde to the front door
- Ideal for loosening the legs

Do not forget your swimming things today, because you are heading for the eastern tip of the island. First to Capdepera, where the castle sits above the village: entry is in the package, and the view as far as Menorca is free. Then down to Cala Rajada with its harbour and the lighthouse on the headland.
From there a quiet lane takes you through pine woods to Cala Mesquida, a dune beach well worth a swim, and to Cala Agulla, which is quieter still. Through Capdepera you roll back to Artà. Stay on the beach all afternoon and you will simply arrive later; nobody is waiting except dinner.
- Castell de Capdepera, entry included
- The lighthouse at Cala Rajada
- The dune beach of Cala Mesquida, do not forget your swimming things!

Today is a beach day. Or is it? You choose. From Artà the road climbs to the Ermita de Betlem at 320 metres, winding through the Llevant nature park, with a monastery from 1805 at the top and, on clear days, a view to Menorca. The climb is gentle and the descent is a gift.
Or you ride to the other side of the park, to the coves of Cala Torta and Cala Mitjana, wild, no bar, just sand and water. Or both, and then it comes to 55 kilometres. Do not forget the sun cream! Back in Artà: roof terrace, feet up, church bells.
- Ermita de Betlem at 320 m, with a view to Menorca
- Wild coves with no bar and no sunbeds
- A beach day, or not? You choose

This morning we collect you and drive you right across the island to the Puig de Randa, the mountain with three monasteries. At the top, in the Santuari de Cura at 540 metres, Ramon Llull founded his school in the 13th century, and the view reaches across half the Pla to the bay of Palma. A coffee on the terrace is part of it.
Then you roll down to Randa and on to Montuïri, where a proper pa amb oli is waiting in a village tavern, and that is in the price. Fortified, you cross the island’s granary through Sant Joan to Petra, the village of the missionary Junípero Serra, where you can stop on the square.
The last kilometres run along quiet country roads and field lanes back to Artà. It is the longest stage of the week, but almost all of it flat or downhill. If you have had enough along the way, call us: the biketaxi is never far.
- Transfer to the Cura monastery on the Puig de Randa included
- Pa amb oli in Montuïri, included in the price
- Petra, the village of Junípero Serra

Today you follow the whole bay of Alcúdia, and with the sea on your right. From Artà by way of the Colònia de Sant Pere to Son Serra de Marina, where we live and where the wild beach of Sa Canova lies, for us the finest on the island. Do not forget your swimming things! Then inland to Santa Margalida and Muro, with potato fields, windmills and a village square that invites you to stop.
Past the s’Albufera nature reserve you reach Alcúdia with its town wall and old quarter. If your legs are still willing, ride out onto the peninsula to the Ermita de la Victòria: a quiet road by the water, a monastery at the top, a restaurant and a view across the whole bay to Formentor.
We bring you and the bikes back to Artà in the van, because there is no need to ride the whole way back. Unless you want to.
- The wild beach of Sa Canova near Son Serra de Marina
- The s’Albufera nature reserve
- Ermita de la Victòria with a view over the bay, ride back included

The last riding day takes you into the south of the Llevant. Through Sant Llorenç to quiet Son Macià, a village hardly anyone knows and lovely for exactly that reason, and then down to the harbour at Porto Cristo. If you want to see the Drach caves, allow an hour; if not, sit down by the harbour.
From there you follow the coast north: Sa Coma, Cala Millor with its long promenade and the beach where the last swim of the week suggests itself. Through Son Servera and along the Via Verde you roll back to Artà. Sixty-five kilometres, but flat and with plenty of stops. In the evening: roof terrace, a glass of wine, and that is that.
- The harbour at Porto Cristo
- The seafront promenade at Cala Millor
- Last riding day, last jump into the sea

One last breakfast in the courtyard, then we collect the bikes and take you to the airport if you like. Ruedi and his friends usually book next year at about this point. Ride well, your Radundfinca team.
- Transfer to the airport on request

Frequently asked
What guests ask us beforehand
Yes, that is the point. The Casa Santa Fe is open all year, and in January and February the almond trees blossom, it is twelve to sixteen degrees, and the roads are yours. There are rainy days, and then we swap stages around or you take the train to Palma. Just tell us when you would like to come.
Not the hotel, but the package: stages of its own from Artà, two transfers, pa amb oli and the castle at Capdepera. And the position in the middle of the old quarter, where you can walk to five restaurants in the evening. The price is the same as the Sternfahrt Levante.
You only ride alone if you want to. Our tours are unguided: you set your own pace and your own breaks, and there is no group to keep up with. In our experience a small group forms on the first evening and heads off together. You do not have to find anything: you get maps, GPX files for your phone or GPS and our arrows on the road signs. And if something does come up, we are on the phone.
If you ride 40 kilometres along a flat route at home on a weekend, you are fit enough. The stages are 40 to 70 kilometres, easy to moderate, with plenty of stops in places where stopping is a pleasure. There are no big climbs, and the ones that get in the way can be ridden around. On an e-bike it is more relaxed still.
Then you take it off. On a sternfahrt you sleep in the same house every night, so the day is simply free: pool, market, train to Palma. On the PetitHotel Tour we will take you on to the next house with the luggage if you like. And if your legs give up out on the road, our biketaxi comes for you: your location on WhatsApp is enough.
On the sternfahrten you unpack once and leave your case in the room all week. On the PetitHotel Tour we drive your luggage from house to house, and it is in the room before you get off the bike. For the day you get a pannier and a handlebar bag for your maps.
