Why an e-bike suits a holiday in Majorca
Our stages are 40 to 70 kilometres long, easy to moderate, with plenty of stops in places where stopping is a pleasure. That works well on a trekking bike. On an e-bike it is more relaxed still, and you arrive at the pool with something left in the tank.
There are no big climbs on our tours, and the ones that get in the way can be ridden around. On an e-bike you do not have to: the Puig de Santa Magdalena at 510 metres with its six per cent gradient, or the Ermita de Betlem with its view as far as Menorca, become a detour rather than a test of nerve.
And if the two of you do not have the same legs, the motor evens that out. You set off together and you arrive together.

Our e-bikes: what you get
Our bikes are a little like us. Just not as experienced. They are reliable, sturdy and hold their line even into a headwind. The e-bikes have a mid-drive motor and range to spare on any of our stages.

Before your first ride we set the saddle and handlebars up for you in person. It takes five minutes and saves you a week of back ache. If something breaks along the way, we swap the bike or come and get you with the biketaxi. All bikes and prices are under bike hire in Mallorca.
Cycling weeks that suit an e-bike
On every one of our cycling weeks you can add an e-bike as your hire bike. Three examples:
Centre of the island: Sternfahrt Ariany/Sineu

East coast: Sternfahrt Levante
A finca with a sea view, the Via Verde, Artà, Cala Rajada and a cove to swim in almost every day. The climb to the hermitage is optional, and on an e-bike you are more likely to say yes: Sternfahrt Levante.
Hotel to hotel: PetitHotel Tour
Four petit hotels right across the island, stages of 40 to 70 kilometres, and we drive your luggage. On an e-bike it is a relaxed week: PetitHotel Tour with luggage transfer.
E-bike without a cycling week: delivered to your finca
You already have somewhere to stay and just need a good e-bike? We bring it to your finca or hotel anywhere on the island, fit it to you and collect it on your last day. For that we need the address, the dates, the number of bikes and the height of each rider.
Our bikes are hired by the week as standard. For three or four days we will find a solution too. Everything about it under bike delivery to your own finca. If you like, we add GPX routes from your front door.
Good to know for your e-bike holiday
In Spain a helmet is compulsory outside built-up areas and recommended inside them. That applies on an e-bike too. The rules are published by the Spanish traffic authority DGT.
The best time is from mid-March to mid-June and in September and October. In July and August it is often above thirty degrees, and we would sooner suggest May or October. More in our guide When is the best time for a cycling holiday on Mallorca? and under cycling in Mallorca.

Yes, outside built-up areas a helmet is compulsory in Spain, and inside them it is recommended. We give you a loaner helmet free of charge, though your own usually fits better.
