Casal de Petra

Petra is the village of Fray Junípero Serra, the friar who went on to found the missions of California, and otherwise a perfectly ordinary village in the middle of the island with a church, a square and a couple of bars where the cortado is waiting in the morning. We have been setting off from here since our first years; our stages know the place by heart.

The Casal de Petra is a small house in the village: clean, quiet, no frills. Here you book the room only, and pick up breakfast in one of the bars on the square or at the baker’s. In return, the price for the cycling week is the lowest we offer.

Everything else stays the same: six stages with maps and GPX, the transfer back from the first stage, our hotline seven days a week and Uli and Stefan on the phone if something does come up along the way.

To be honest

If you want a pool and a breakfast terrace, you are better off at Sa Barcella or Can Serrete. If you are after a clean base and would rather put the money into an evening at the celler, this is exactly right.
